Qualified Volunteers Needed for Resume Workshop

Workshop leader Heather Ng-Cornish

What’s going on?

The Environmental Chemistry Course Union is looking for students with co-op or science related job experiences to help students improve their resume/cover letter skills during a two hour workshop scheduled for the evening of Monday February 7th.

The workshop will be led by Heather Ng-Cornish, who is completing her honours in Chemistry and has co-op experience at the Pacific Agri-Food Research Centre.

With the help of volunteers like you, students will bring in their own resume/cover letters and together we will help them through the process of refinement.

Students who participate in the workshop will leave with an excellent chance of securing their next interview, and volunteer leaders will receive a letter of recommendation.

Event Format

The event format will remain the same whether online or in-person.

  • Heather will give a brief presentation on best practices when writing a resume or cover letter and an overview of the co-op program.

  • Students will split into groups of 3-4 to peer review each other’s work.

  • Each group will have their own volunteer leader to provide feedback and answer questions.

Interested? Register below!

Depending on the response we receive for the event, we may have not enough volunteers or too many. Once we have a better idea of the scale of the event (hopefully soon), we will contact you.
